We spoke to Beveridge Williams Ballarat Manager, Jackson Zaal about the move and his thoughts on Lucas and Ballarat.
Jackson lived in Ballarat as a toddler until moving to Gippsland for his Junior & Senior school years, followed by university and a majority of his work life at Beveridge Williams Traralgon.
He and his family returned four years ago to Ballarat when a transfer opportunity arose to become manager at Beveridge Williams, Ballarat.
His wife Kelli is a teacher at Ballarat Grammar and boys Parker and Chandler are at school and kinder respectively. Jackson says it has been an enjoyable move and he and his family have fallen in love with the City of Ballarat and many friends alike.
“It’s a mix of all things close to my heart; historic buildings, café & restaurant culture, connectivity to Melbourne, plus an idyllic setting for my family to grow.”
Both the children are involved with many extra curricular activities through Ceed Kinder & preps at Ballarat Grammar and they say that the best thing about Ballarat, is riding their bikes around Lake Wendouree.
The seventeen strong team at Beveridge Williams are excited about their move to Lucas and have all perused the new premises with eagerness. Jackson says they have returned with smiles on their faces, looking forward to getting their teeth sunk into their associated work load with new surroundings. “The aesthetics of Lucas is highly appealing, with open wetlands and walkways just outside our office door, along with shops, eateries & carparking facilities presenting a welcome change.” “It is a central location for many of our current and future projects – there seems to be a real buzz about the entire West side of Ballarat.”
Our new office in Lucas will also make us very accessible for current projects and their continued development, while the North corridor is also buzzing with excitement with projects on the up and up.
For 32 years in Ballarat, Beveridge Williams have worked on some of the city’s biggest projects. Currently the team is working on the civil engineering design and engineering survey to transform the Ballarat Station Precinct into a vibrant community, transport and commercial hub. The team is excited about how the project is coming together and are proud to be a part of the redevelopment that will reinvigorate the heart of the city.
Beveridge Williams have worked alongside Integra in recent years consulting on engineering design here in Lucas and Viewpoint in Bendigo. After approximately ten years in their current office in Main Road, Bakery Hill, the team at Beveridge Williams plan to move to their new office in Lucas in late July and we here at Integra welcome them to the Lucas community.
